This happened to me with a 68 Drip edge. I tell the story and nobody believes me!
You might have been thinking IEC connector (see above post). And I use those mostly on new builds. In that case, you do want it short, since the...
"Fig. 15.2: The safety-earth bond should be made to a dedicated screw, close to the mains inlet"...
I thought you wanted ground wire the longest of the 3 in case the cord was pulled, ground would be last to go.
I need to try one of those. Like the old guy in Toy Story 2.
I have a frying pan of each. Cast Iron, SS, Carbon Steel, and Teflon (Omelettes/crepes).
The SS puts a great sear on meats. Easy to clean-up if...
With each plate dissipating a minimum of 8W he's chewing up those 12AU7 and spitting them out.
.027A*298V = 8W
****can the freeze spray idea and...
I really wanted to hate this. But I don't.
Man, I hope I have his energy and health at his age.
you are putting at least 27ma in each 12AU7 at that voltage. They are rated for 20 mA.
I can't remember if we have to half the cathode resistor...
And yet, there are millions of stranded solder joints in the wild that are tidy, bent and hooked. :p Be patient. And practice.
If the short is drawing current, it can (will) sag your voltage depending on how much. If it draws enough it will blow the fuse.
Yeah, I doubt he could retrofit those tube sockets with self tappers. I meant for future projects. :)
LOL, Tom. I thought you were trying to...
For your second amp, this looks better than mine did. However:
Somethings wrong with wiring at your power tube, with the tube in you've...
Nice. I bet that amp rocks.
Does it have the cathode follower or is it a plate driven tone stack?
He's fine. 12aX7 aren't going to get super hot, etc. That PCB is fine for those tubes.
I'm sorry, cab composition doesn't matter when I'm playing an amp in m y living room practicing, which about all I'd ever use a BJ for. Full...
F Cancer. So glad to hear your news!
The appeal of the ORange one, I think, is that it tests tubes at something close to tube amp voltages.
I had one for a while, a simple emissions tester at low voltage.
I now just use an amp. If they sound good I use 'em till they don't.
Yeah, sack shots suck.
