    Thoughts on this? Moral obligation?

If neither your mother or her brother want the money, I would have your brother pay you $900 then call it even. In this scenario you each wind up with a nice gift, your brother is responsible (enough) in that he repays the loan (enough of it to call it even).

I love Gretsch, I love 335's, but this grosses me out.

Reminds me of the guitar this guy plays: I like the looks & have thought about giving one a try!

    57 Humbuckers

The 57's will be a great match for the 335! I think they will warm up the tone compared to the burstbuckers (which I like). I loved burstbuckers on my Flying V, she ScahRREEEEMED. I have 57's on my 336 & it's my favorite guitar, I wish my 335 had 57's

    Cover song suggestions?

Lots of great songs mentioned here. Play songs people know & like to dance to! "Takin Care of Business" ALWAYS packs the dance floor, people love it! "Truckin", There's always more closet Deadheads out there than you think. Plus, now that we're old(er) most can relate to what a long strange...

    Additional Koa OOO-18 pictures

My initial pictures didn't depict the Koa well, and I am over the moon with her, so I snapped a few more pictures. After playing her non-stop the last few days I'm thinking about selling my dread (prolly won't). This guitar is loud! Punches way bigger than it's class. Much of this is due to the...

NGD! Martin OOO-18, custom Koa Back & Sides

I picked up a new guitar yesterday at True Tone Music in Santa Monica. True Tone Music is a local shop on Santa Monica Blvd, a great store if you're in the area. They treated me well & gave me a great deal, I would do business with True Tone again in a heartbeat. They ordered this guitar to sell...

    I played the Super D !

I would like to listen and watch you play this chord progression on the fat neck: Cmaj7 Gsus2/B Bbmaj7 Fsus2/A Dmaj7 Asus2/C# Cmaj7 Gsus2/B Ebmaj7 E7#9 Chances are you cannot play this (easy) chord progression on the fat neck, and if you could play these chords...

    Learning Banjo finder Rolls

Dread shopping & sparse GC showroom

Yes, The OM-21 (or any OM) delivers some thump to your chest. The 21 series is hidden gem IMHO. Zero bling, huge sound!

Dread shopping & sparse GC showroom

Same here! I should have mentioned my #1 acoustic has been a Martin OM the last 6 years. I have an OM-21 (get your hands on this guitar!!!), a custom OM-28 (toasted adi top, madi B&S, this is my #1), and a 1933 OM-18 Authentic. The OM's are long scale like a dread, not as much bottom but enough...

Every guitar made of wood, especially solid wood, should be properly humidified. Scalloped braces are not at all likely to be more fragile than straight braced. The big difference between the 15 & 16 series is the neck joint. Series 21 and above use a true dovetail whereby the 16, 15 and lower a...

What do you have to do to be a Stand-up sorta guy?

One who inherently knows, and does, the right thing in any given situation. BTW, what is the right thing? :P

    Getting out the Lap Piano

You bought new old stock, which is common on the high end guitars. It took a few years for your dealer to move it, and as it sat there (occasionally being played no doubt) it was opening up and becoming the guitar it is now.

    Beautiful car!

The Raiders were the home team for ever and ever ,

No run game = no chance to win. Why? Because it's the NFL, and if you can't establish a run game the defenses will choke you (nobody bites on the play action). I would blame the O line, but it's clear the dipsh!t with the bad haircut doesn't know football nor is he able to hire people who know...
