Nice!
Just drove up to Fort Collins, CO area today to pickup this new one. She's my third Jack with the first born in 1998 who made it 13.5 years; Walnut. And the second born in 2004 and made it 17 years 8 months; Mango. No name finalized for this one yet.
EDIT: We have the exact same...
Always good advice. I've practiced for years just staying straight and hitting the brakes whether it's a rabbit or anything as swerving can also put you in the other lane and a head on.
So speaking of impulse buys, weight, Kustom and amps/cabs...
I bought this from Guitar Center a few years back. I got it for three or so reasons; I like the Kustom look for nostalgia, the upholstery was in great shape, and I wanted to try it as a harp amp cab.
Holy crap this thing is heavy...
I stumbled on this the other day and, though I wish it was better lit, I was in awe of how tight and badass it was. Bowie, Ronson and band at the top of their game at the end of a tour, and Beck stopping by for a drink and a jam with the boys since they were in London
You're not going to be gigging out with it so I'd want to have the space to (a)make it a showpiece but also (b)be where it can be accessed and played easily.
I wasn't really aware of these so this post had me start looking them up. That is so damn beautiful. It now has me jonesing thinking of...
I know this one was already down, but a deer hopping up in front of you on the road can be devastating. I'm always very cautious at dusk and dawn when on roads where visibility is hindered on the sides due to brush, trees etc.
Can you share more info on this? Model? Was it a 3rd party conversion?
EDIT: Thanks for the info. I will definitely check it out.
Although the disk drive was a huge upgrade from the original save method; cassette tape recorder.
Awww, let's not crap on the bass guys. ;) I have found they are the most consistently normal and least problematic member over many decades. Biggest PITA's(coming from a vocalist, guitarist);
-Vox - 7-10 if they brought their girlfriend
-Guitar - 5-10 too many variables to document
-Drums - 3-8...
Damn, I wish I had that option for local tryout as I am going to be cautious, and given the amount of gear I have here I definitely never want someone at the house. I'm still trying to figure out how to pull off 'local pickup' that's not at my house but gives them a chance to test an amp if...
If I get one I will definitely be running it into my Fishman PA, Alesis Strike amp, or just the old Ampeg Rocket Reverb bass amp. Whatever makes the most sense in the moment.
LOL, not a demo that's going to sell me on anything. Yikes. Simplistic, repetitive 'male anger music', as I call it, done by a woman in open tuning.
I need some aspirin.
I have multiple items that are pretty much brand new, purchased between 2018 and 2020, I just haven't been able to pull the trigger on selling. I did eBay years back and it was nothing like I remembered when I returned. I've bought a few items on Reverb but haven't sold yet.
I just have a...
I've tuned down a half-step to Eb since shortly after I started playing decades ago. Yes, it was probably when I got into SRV and then just stuck with it. I liked it mostly because it was easier on my hands using 10's to do multi string bends, but I also play 'thrashy' and am often fretting...
If you're up for it how about a few pics of your music room I see reflected in the window? I think I'm seeing a lot of albums hung up and some posters/art. I love nice zen spaces and am curious to see what others have done.
EDIT: Also, I couldn't believe that was only $600 but it is! Now I'm...
