Need to run an attenuator (I already have a Fryette Power Station) however the speaker cable is hardwired into the board. I've seen a few mod boxes people have done up to use the internal speaker with an attenuator however I"m curious if using the extension/external speaker jack will work just...
I use to be the same... If I could go back 20yrs and tell myself anything it would be NOT to even screw with 12's! I got skinny hands/fingers, those years using 12's sure helped with developing RSI pretty early on... Was easier to get the big tones though thanks to them but for me the trade off...
Yeah it was almost sold a few times but everytime I plugged it up it just sounded amazing.... Got a Vox AC15HW a couple months ago and it's like a match made in heaven!
I've argued this with so many people... Simple fact for me is I have a decent amount of guitars, no reason to waste the...
Bought a 64'AV Tele about 2yrs ago and honestly could never get into the 7.25 radius.... I use 10's for my stings and no matter how I set it up, it just wouldn't cut it, was to uncomfortable and just not fun to play. Each time I did though it was always a joy to hear it, those pups sound great...
The 10in has more of an open sound? I tried a 10in Alessandro and did’t care for it. Also tried a 10in greenback, just prefer the el cheapo Jenson. Lol
See that's kind my thought to. I found that I love 10in speakers and really wish I had a 2x10 PRRI! haha I guess I can just keep doing what I"m doing as needed.... It might be that it just sounds good to me with that cabinet, who knows.
I've had the 10in for almost a year and I love it! When the band comes over I run it into a Marshall 1x12 extension cabinet (Creamback 75). And like it just the same as hearing a 10in..... Keep seeing a couple of the 1x12's coming up for sale and want to bite but also thinking what's the point...
Yep on my 3rd tone master (had the DR and TR 1st gen, now have the TR 2nd gen as a backup amp) and have a PRRI that I bought new last year and it's been a an amazing amp for cranking when the family ain't home and for the those late night jams it works really well low volume with a transparent...
Thanks for bringing that to my attention.... Already have the regular 10in version but really been eyeing one of these.... Also says to save 10% so I looks like it can be even less....
I've never "smeary" used as a description lol. I'll be able to try it soon. Found a deal on both a 10" Greenback and a Rajun Cajun, we shall see.
Nope, not going for a Marshall tone at all. In all honesty I'm not sure what I'm after really but I do know I like Celestion's so it's probably the...
Yeah I thought it would be fun to do a thread talking about what we DIDN'T like but it's cool, I enjoy the discussion either way..... I'm a huge fan of the creamback 12in and have used the regular as well as the NEO version a lot.... I want to get a 12in baffle (or a 12in PR) and would try that...
I had that in my DR as well and didn't like it.... And what you described for the Jensen, low volumes is pretty nice and I do like the breakup tone on it when I turn it up but only in the mid rhythm and lead tones..... But that farty tone kills it!
There's always thread about speaker suggestions but what about speakers you've tried and didn't like?? I'm sniffing cause I got one of the recommended speakers and don't like it! haha
I actually was fine with the stock speaker except when turned up that farting type sound (not sure if I'm...
Yeah add in those 1099's that will start showing up next year and it's not really worth it anymore... Places like Guitar Center and Music Go Round are a lot easier to deal with.
Yeah not crazy about this recent shipping gouge... I get that rates went up and people want to cover their butts but in this day in age people should be able to figure this out easier.....
If it's something I'm really interested in and the shipping is higher than what I feel it should be I'll...
I had goggly eyes for them when they came out... Bough the DR, a month later bought the Twin.... sold the DR.... Used the Twin throughout 2019 to take to rehearsal... Lightweight, full tone thanks to the 2x12 and we played loud enough for me to put it on the 5w setting cranked and that was my...
