Ich bin auch dabei. Engländer der in Berlin wohnt .
Nice, why did you take the original bridge off?
What they said. I just put a p90 in the neck and converted it to standard wiring with no S1. Mine's under 7lbs. The bridge pickup sounds great!...
Does anyone have the skinny on the pickup in the Baja? The Broadcaster? Alnico V?
I'm not keen on the neck pickup, too Stratty.
I just couldn't get on with the small frets on it. The pickup is super bright too, maybe a little too bright.
To be fair, it's by far the best Baja I've ever played.
Came home with a Baja
Weighs 6.5lbs, smoked the C50s Esquire which was an anchor and difficult to play with the tiny frets.
There is also a used 50s Esquire for sale for under half the price of either.
Both are stocked. I will try all :)
Never found it an issue either.
I'm gonna go play a few Saturday. It's all academic until then.
Don't like the relicing on the older models.
The new one, yup.
Which would you get, and why? Price difference on the RW seems a little unjustified IMO.
I have nice pickups waiting to go into whichever guitar.
So one of these came up at a good price locally.
Tempted. Can it be made to twang with the right pickups? I ask because the one I had didn't...
I passed on it and got an Allparts TMO FAT instead.
Alamo, where in Berlin are you? I'm actually originally from London.
Mine was 2005 and had Texas Specials. No twang and very squealy.
Had one for a while. Very well made but as others have said, the pickups were junk.
Daddy like. Didn't even realise it was 7.25" radius. I'm talking the new reissues, not an OG.
I've been offered one at a good price. What's it like? Thin/fat?
I always have it in my head that spraying finish is really difficult.
Too many damn options.
Think I'm gonna go with wipe on poly
Did you go for the vintage construction?
I don't like the Warmoth necks with the double truss rod.
Too late now. I'm sure it'll be fine.
Gonna make a go at finishing it myself.
