Many people mention p90s but those are single coil pickups. The OP asked for humbuckers.
Best humbucker equipped guitar I tried was the Gretsch...
The lighter the better. Vintage or white blond is best.
Mad dog, you are right. Got confused by the trapeze tailpiece. Casinos are not floating bridge. By full body I meant not the coupe version.
Full body Casinos are floating bridge.
The Loar 302 looks real nice. Unfortunately, haven't been able to try out one yet.
Sorry to hear that Fred.
I got mine used from a working musician. He was in a Beatles tribute band and had a chance to get a Rickenbacker...
This is exactly why I like it. This is due to the staggered bridge pickup. So no ice pick for sure. Plenty of oumph and cleans up nice too.
Congrats. Love the color.
I have a 60's Classic and an American Std. When I bought the 60's one I was planning to first put a baseplate on the bridge pickup and if that did...

American Specials still have maple necks. The 60s Classic is a great guitar. You won't be disappointed!
Another cool option. Thanks for the heads up!
Cool. Do they do staggered (60s style) pickups?
Now all he needs is a wolf
Maybe from here?
Given that I have one the has the "tick" and another that does not I'd say wait. Even when the guitar is fully assembled it will not take too much...
I left mine stock. If I ever change my mind about them I'd get Peter Florance or Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups. It is a 60s guitar so I'd get...
Wow, cool project. Good luck bringing this one back to life!
Not a big fan of LPs, but that Classic is beautiful. Good luck with the sale!
What happened to your 72 custom? Those have humbuckers in the neck.
