Is your '74 Custom a double neck? If not, you're holding out on us. Post more pics
If it were mine I'd tell everybody Alejandro built it.
Very, very nice. I'm so glad you didn't do the traditional f-hole. They look so stupid imo on anything smaller than a Sheraton.
If I had $4K to buy a guitar right now I think I'd go for a used custom shop. & a nice amp.
That's good stuff there. Back when he was Buddy Guy & not trying to be Buddy Guy.
Just wondering. I'm sure most of you play several genres, but if you had to pick one, which do you play the most?
Anybody play a Macmull?
What solid body Tele comes with a humbucker in the neck, single coil in the bridge, & standard tele controls?
Albert Collins played one.
Just looking out for you buddy.
Just to be safe, your friend should drop it off at my place & I'll go over it thoroughly.
I completely understand. I wanted a Les Paul from day one, but could not afford one. I got a Tele instead. Then a strat.
When I was finally able...
I think that type of statement came from way back in the day before master volume amps & Tele single coils didn't drive amps the way humbuckers...
I dig them both. So glad I don't have to choose.
I think it has more to do with what people are willing to pay. Go to Wildwood guitars & check out the Murphy aged reissues. $10K- $15K
Glad you found your thing. Some of us waste years & money trying to learn what you have.
Right on Right on
Pics, or it didn't happen.
I guess it comes down to your definition of "Esquire"
For me it's a Tele body with a single single coil in the bridge with a Tele bridge.
What's the headstock look like?
That is soooooo swweeeettt
Good looking guitar. Not a bad deal for 200 bucks.
But to pile on, I can't imagine a Custom Shop model with that flame veneer. & that white neck...
I posted this in another thread...
That would go well in my garage... well, except that it's blue...
