Very nice, I was looking at those as well, but something else grabbed my wallet.
I prefer the Twisted teles, the Texas Specials have a very distinct sound that lends its self very well to rock.
Yeah, the different finish options seem to help drive the pricing. I've also observed that say "limited editions" tend to run a bit higher as well.

Strats are usually "quieter" as they don't resonate as much as tele, with it's fixed bridge.
Obviously, someone has no clue the years of learning a skill it takes to build almost perfect guitars.
