After all that about 4 applications of hemp oil
I did about 10-12 coats of paint
Sanded the first 6 with 400 and subsequent with 600
Tru Oil works with milk paint
Quite smooth however there is some rough spots which I expected and it suits the guitar. I did a ton of sanding.

Also fwiw I used Bourns pots. Way smoother than the standard CTS.
Its a Wilkinson Sung Il, cheap but solid.

I get you point but their offer was for me to send it back for inspection. They said they would sand the body down until they found the source....

Well they said the crack is very unusual unless a water based finish is used (it is). They don't warranty the bodies if they've been in subjected...
