Will gluing in some mahogany blocks of wood change guitar tone?

of coarse is construction a important subject but you may wonder if a small piece could make a huge difference in a semi electric guitar. the form and function of an electric or acoustic guitar is different and asks for a different approach. i had an old hondo strat. it was made of dense...

    How-To Fix a Cracked Fingerboard?

and put a piece of backing paper between the clamp on the side were the glue is. this to prevent tear out wood when removing the clamp. and certainly would check the neck cave if there enough room to remount the neck. this problem did not happen by just looking at it ;)

Will gluing in some mahogany blocks of wood change guitar tone?

1 warning, watch out for iroko dust. it can give you a nasty nose infection that can be permanent. ( i know because it happened to me) routing out a plank of mahogany is, in my opinion, not worth the effort and degrading a beautiful piece of wood that took ages to grow. to use for the back for...

well, i tried to convert in into the DIY layout creator. this is a bit complex outside the guitar testcase. * it can change the volumepot from 500 to 250Kohm (witch with resistor on vol.pot) * someone posted here that adding a cap 47nf in the hotlead of the pickup a ceramic pickup would sound...

Question on stripping for a custom art body

prep the surface with Gesso. https://www.royaltalens.com/en/catalog/talens-oils-primers--solvents/gesso-primer-bucket-1000-ml/ you can use it with acrylic or oil paint. the last only as wall hanger deco because oil paint does not dry fast and i think is not so durable. some artists use it on...

I hope it works out when i try the amber. another pedal in progress is the Black cat fuzz (freddy fuzz) that i could maybe use as the booster together with the Amber. just don't like gritty/fizzy sound in overdrive/distortion but than again, my sound perception listening to youtube clips can...

FUZZ. Players? / Users? Too Old Fashioned? My Very Favorite Type of Gain Pedal.

@arlum i don't like fuzz, i thought, but i am not sure anymore did not know what the amber overdrive was, liked the videoclip and made the DIY version. that still has to be boxed, just like the pink purple fuzz DIY project. just time is the dealbraker to get those things done and try them out...
