    1 guitar, for now

I have the Monoprice indio (tele) deluxe. I am not looking to rebuild the entire guitar, but I would like a nut and pickups. My goal is to have a guitar that can play as many styles as possible minus heavy metal. I am thinking about Fender 58 bridge and a stacked humbucker neck, but I don't...

My last name is Cash, I live in Texas, I think I need a tele!!!

I might need tuners, but not locked. I was going to get brass saddles, but heard ss is the best sound to calm brightness down? I got a Fender Mustang Micro to play with headphones at night. Good? Thinking of a 5 pos switch? Is 4 enough? Need string trees also. Rollers or Fender roller look...

I decided on a prebuilt one. With no help nearby, I decided starting with something playable and changing parts as needed was a better direction for me.

I finally picked a guitar and decided on the Indio Retro DLX. From $199, I was able to get it for $145 to my door. Now the fun begins as I try to get it tuned and stay tuned.

I know 12" radius necks are good for finger playing and 7.5" for chords and true 60's style. I was thinking of going in the middle. Is that a good choice? I didn't have these choices before, so now I want to choose the right one.

    Not a telecaster, but.............

I am an adult, with short fingers. I wear a med glove and sometimes large. Not sure if that matters. I have studied teles for a year and was leaning towards a 60's style. I like retro looks with modern features. Then I saw this. I see this in many of the music videos of music I like. No...

    Not a telecaster, but.............

What would I search to find a similar guitar? I was going to spend 2x this to build a XGP, but for the price and not knowing how a guitar should feel, I figured this could be a great deal to learn on, look good on my music room wall for art, or I could get at least $100 back if I sold it...

https://www.guitarfetish.com/LIMITED-OPPORTUNITY-Semi-Hollow-SETNECK-BELOW-COST-Cherry-Red-Two-Humbuckers_p_35595.html I want a telecaster, but this is also my first guitar and I can't even play yet. I posted a hollow body above and was wondering if if this would make a good beginner. They make...

XGP Double Bound Coral Body from GFS

Sorry for bringing an old thread back to life, but I am now in the same boat. Plus, I've been waiting for pics and stories. I have looked at upgrading vs building. GFS or $300 is my budget. I feel I can buy what I want for less than buying a guitar and switching parts. I realize Fender/Squire...

My last name is Cash, I live in Texas, I think I need a tele!!!

Let's start with one of my questions. One thing about the GF neck is that it is 12" radius. Is this good for a beginner? I saw that 2/3rds of Fenders are 9.5". In a website view, it does not appear to be a huge difference.

Been reading posts here for awhile and looks like a group that helps each other. So I decided to join today, since I need help. Ok, the first step is knowing you need help. I have been wanting something from 1962 for awhile now. Car, gun, etc. I decided on guitar, since I've always wanted one...
