The cabinet may have been the least of the problem, but it was the one I wanted to start with. A chassis by itself is an eyesore. If I at least put it in a case I can put the amp on top of my 4x12 and have a cool looking setup with two heads (though only one functions) while I collect parts...
Well, I wanted to see how bad it would be to try and build a new head cabinet. I was worried cuz I don't have real woodworking equipment. I just grabbed a wood panel from the garage and a harbor freight angle grinder with cut off wheel and had at it. Probably took about 2 hours to build the...
So I think you see the problem I am having fitting a twin reverb chassis into a head the size of a deluxe reverb. The chassis is about 1" wider on each size.
I already had the head cabinet, and then I recently obtained a twin reverb II chassis that needs new transformers and tubes. I hate to...
well, I measured it and the opening is 22 1/2" inches. Think it was made for something other than bassman? what chassis has those dimensions? I know the twin reverb is 24 1/2"so what else could it be for?
I came into possession of an Old Fender bassman empty head cabinet. I think I am going to flip it, but don't know what year it is and could use a little help. I am attaching pictures. I think it is a pre 1960 because
(1) The tolex grain is smoother than the later tolex used by Fender, and...
Yeah Trev, the original plan was to just put in new 18650 batteries like the one you linked. But looking at it, I am thinking that not all the battery cells are bad. I use 18650's for ecigs, and for them to all simultaneously wear out is unlikely. I think probably one or two batteries is the...
Cool, thank you for the information. So I guess the game plan should be to check each battery individual and look for ones with deviation from 3.7-4.2 volts, which are probably the problem cells. Dremel those out and replace.
Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.
I am assuming that they are lithium ion, but they are not marked as such on the battery. Just says Samsung ICR18650.

I think you guys are right that they are welded. I did some research that...
I want to live
With a cinnamon bear
I could be happy
The rest of my life
With a cinnamon bear
A dreamer of pictures
I run in the night
You see us together
Chasing the moonlight
My cinnamon bear
Ten silver saxes
A bass with a bow
The drummer relaxes
And waits between shows
For his cinnamon bear...
My mother just had hip replacement surgery, and has a mobility scooter with a battery that won't charge that I'm trying to fix. The replacement batteries are over $500 so hence that's why I'm trying to fix the one she has. Took out the battery and removed the covering. This is what the...
