It's hilarious when Boomers are annoyed by something their generation was doing 50 years ago.

Tim, I can't tell the difference...

Totally agree. I'll put on my fire retardant suit and also mention that I'll play a Telecaster, or a Stratocaster interchangeably at a gig. They are not miles apart playing through the same rig.

Yeah, I'm looking for a decent 7A but the ones I've found are either gold, dead or overpriced. I'm glad you posted because I have a question: How many jackwagons felt the need to post why they don't carry a knife in your thread?

    Partscasters...would you do it again?

I did the same and love mine too. It was built for a purpose which might not make anyone else happy. I do wonder how many are satisfied when sticking to a target budget and that probably needs to be discussed in this thread as well.

I think they have value if you know exactly what you want. I also think you have to be realistic. The imaginary black guard that everyone thinks is perfect, isn't. You're still going to sound like you even if it's your perfect guitar.

What do I need to know about titanium saddles?

This is the guy I would listen to. ^^^^ @Censport If you aren't fighting the B bender issue, it's probably a waste of money. I use brass saddles on my regular Telecasters and steel on my B bender. Steel eventually rusts. (Mine have) I don't hear a difference in saddle material at band volume...

Nice! It's actually difficult to get a decent photo of a watch on anyone's wrist.

It is fun! These are well made mechanicals and still less than a hundred.

    Let's see your watch.

I enjoy mechanical watches for what they are: Tiny machines. Yes a 20 dollar casio keeps better time than virtually any automatic but that's not the point. There is no need for any watch in this day and age, let alone the care and feeding of 40 to 50 yo watches that I prefer. Everyone carries a...
