    Lou Reed, the Music Snob

Lou just talked a load of old bollocks. Watch any of his interviews. He liked to wind people up to get attention.

Talk About Your Last Gig Here

Last Sunday at the local pub for the first time this year. Freezing cold, grey, miserable January day. Telecaster + Classic 30. Stand in drummer because Spike is still in a bad way from his fall. He was able to get up on stage though to mess about and play some percussion. Decent turn out...

If you feel like talking, can we discuss SM57's....

Are you sure it's a real 57 and not a nasty Chinese fake? https://sine-post.co.uk/2017/11/10/are-you-sure/

Talk About Your Last Gig Here

I think pick and mix band members are going to be a feature of 2022. Happy that you have a good community out there. Same kind of vibe over here. We musicians stick together!

Does neck plate thickness have any effect on tone?

I have a three bolt strat, which definitely has a fatter tone than a four bolt. Oh hang on, I knocked the treble knob on my amp.

Talk About Your Last Gig Here

We returned to our tiny backstreet pub in Bushey last Saturday for the annual Christmas gig. Missed it last year because of lockdown, almost cancelled this year because our drummer had a fall, smashed his knee and buggered up his wrist. He probably won't be fit again until February. Luckily, we...

    I've quit smoking

I haven't had a fag for 145 days, and feel sooo much better. I stopped smoking dope years and years ago and don't miss it. Actually, i was at a barbecue about three years ago, had a toke and instantly remembered why I'd stopped. Just awful. Unable to think straight / have a conversation. Yuck.

    Stranded at the pub

The band are called Noasis. Lucky them, they got a shed load of publicity out of this. As well as being trapped in a well stocked Yorkshire pub for four days. https://www.nme.com/features/music-interviews/noasis-oasis-tribute-band-snow-yorkshire-pub-tan-hill-inn-storm-arwen-3107756

I play fast (i listened to a recording of myself)

I tend to speed up towards the end of our gigs. But that's so I can get offstage and have a pee.
