    I saw something strange yesterday

Heartwarming? Dude! In Baton Rouge, this is common. THEY have a racket going! News cameras have followed these types to "gathering places" where they divide their takings. Then "they ALL" go get the crack! If you panhandle for the "jack", you can get that crack (in more ways than one)! Don't be...

What's your hometown's claim to fame

There is someplace there that supposedly has the juiciest cheeseburgers/hamburgers on the planet and they are cooked vertically in an extremely old burner oven. Saw it on some places to eat in America.

Thinking about a serious career change

I did just as you said. I looked at my Pension, my 401K (that I rolled into an IRA), and my full SS and am now making considerably more money than when I was working. "They" have tried to get me to come in for a few projects and I politely said HELL NO! ENOUGH! p.s. I was there for 29 years, 2...

    Mailbox Hit and Run

I live "in the curve" of my street. I'm on #31st mailbox in 35 years and 8 months in this home. 50 mph in a 25 zone? try 70+ in a 25 zone! All the back neighborhoods use my street as a cut-thru to I-10 going to New Orleans or Baton Rouge. Cops put a "violation counter" out and had 432 violators...

    New Country Music?

Old Country Music...........they'd do it for nothing........they did! For pure joy. Like NASCAR, in the beginning, when there was a bunch of drunk rednecks they did it for "braggin' rights" and honor. Then they started gettin' "crumbs", then Hollywood Came to town and Politics........... Same...

There is NEVER a need to wonder WHY law abiding taxpaying citizens are armed in-house/on-person/in-vehicle any longer. None.

Did You Grow Up Without a TV Remote?

Yes I did. Really didn't need one. We only had one local station, Channel 6 and couldn't afford an outside antenna. The days of black and white.

What is the greatest boom town of all time over one decade?

Geez............the BR Metro area grew from around 700,000 to 850,000 (that we are a part of). Too many people already! And here in P'ville they are building houses and subdivisions like there's no tomorrow. This used to be "the Country"! We could shoot, trap, fish with no traffic lights, a few...

So the new Frontier is a Tacoma?

I bought a 2019 Frontier in November of '19. V6 261 HP. It's very "peppy", but a gas PIG in town. 16 mpg is common. 18 mpg combo hwy/city. 23 to 24+ mpg Interstate only depending how much I get to use the cruise control. I like White Trucks and Cars!
