Cheap 1 watt guitar amp kit?

I would just get a used Epiphone Valve Jr. It is however EL84 class A based. This one is as cheap as can be and has mods already(no affiliation)... https://www.guitarcenter.com/Used/Epiphone/Valve-Jr-5W-Class-A-Tube-Guitar-Amp-Head.gc?rNtt=Epiphone%20Valve%20Jr&index=2

    REM Sleep Behavior Disorder...

Sleep apnea perhaps? Do you know if you snore? I have sleep apnea but after attempting to use CPAP devises, I found that I loose even more sleep wearing them. My wife nudges me at times during our sleep so I will roll over to stop snoring so she can get back to sleep. I refuse to sleep in...

    2nd Build-Rob's JTM45 Micro

Why not just grind the heads smaller on both the screws slightly to make it work? I don't think it would be very noticeable and it would be a far less hassle. Your design and execution is great and I'm sure it's going to be a great homebrew amp.

Are You A Tourist In Your Own Town?

I'm originally from Ontario Canada but grew up outside of Detroit and my wife is from Ohio. I've lived in many different places in the states including California, Arizona(for many years) Florida, Texas and even Indiana. We live smack dap in the heart of the south in NW South Carolina(think...

RIP Marvin Lee Aday aka Meatloaf

Is it just me but wouldn't Jack Black be perfect to do a tribute movie of Meatloaf? I'd watch it and I think he could pull it off as long as he doesn't over-accentuate ending note phrasing as he tends to do.

    Who likes/hates Fades (guitar finishes)?

I did a "black burst plaintop" refinish on this Studio Lite. I liked the way it turned out. I'm not big on cherry or honey bursts and I prefer plaintops over flames.

    replace hot water heater prophylactically?

^^^^ worse installation option imaginable ^^^^. I've done plumbing, electrical and HVAC most of my life and any time I see one installed in an attic I always shake my head and ponder where else could it be sanely located. Even with a drain pan under it and a plumbed drain, you're still asking...

    Hand problem:

I've been taking Gabapentin for years now and it really seems to help. I have major cervical neck issues and had 2 fusions to date and I have another nerve impingement at C4. Degenerative disk disease is no picnic. I wish you well with your issues.

    Ohio is freaky

NW SC is nutz as far as the roads are. You can make a left turn say to the west, and end up going east. Also, the roads change the names at many intersections and worse than that, a lot of roads don't have street signs telling you the name of the road you're on. I loved Tucson for the way the...

So the new Frontier is a Tacoma?

I miss my '84 Chevy Silverado that I restored. My 2007 Silverado fills the void quite nicely. It still only has 42,000 miles on it and it's 14 years old!

    Colorado Fire

Just watched a video of the fire from drivers point of view that were fleeing from the fire. Tragic and horrific. I hope that everyone got out from the path of the fire.

You think you have too many guitars?

Sadly I will never achieve my "cream my jeans" collection. I will say however that I would rather have very few "quality brand" named guitars than a bunch of "cheap" knock-off guitars. I spent the afternoon watching Rick's video a little here and there and really enjoyed it. He's a great...

Yeah. I was skeptical and being facetious even starting this thread. I'm still intrigued however on how much the finish looks like nitro.

I believe they did make a non florentine cutaway in the 50's/60's but I can't find a later example unless it's a custom shop model.

Looks like nitro to me from my house. In the ad it says that they sell for $2,000-$5,000. Weird to state this. It might be a pissed off ex selling hubbies guitar cheap just to piss him off.
