Sports fan? Who is your team no matter what? Show your team colors!

    You have my sympathies. 😁

    Lou Reed, the Music Snob

Lou placed a big emphasis on lyrics. Frank actually resented the fact that music had to have lyrics to have much hope for airplay in the US; hence much of the nonsense, self-sabotage, over the top lyrics he'd employ.

    Lou Reed, the Music Snob

Lou was never punk per se, but he was certainly a part of the underground vanguard that evolved to punk. And I'm not saying punk = poor musicianship, but the genre certainly invited more than its share of pure rot. As for Lou, he certainly had his moments, but more often than not, his stuff just...

    Aldi

I'm glad it's working well for you. It's admittedly been YEARS since I've set foot in an Aldi, but that's because I was so completely underwhelmed and unimpressed.

    Lou Reed, the Music Snob

I find it amusing that someone at the forefront of punk feels inclined to offer scathing reviews of others' musicianship. Most of you probably don't want to know my opinion of VU.

One heck of a human being wearing it too.

Granted, they've both made "no matter what" pretty easy for a large portion of my lifetime:

Where is everyone? Has anyone else noticed the slowness

Football is a whopping 2 days a week at this point. And if anything, teams being eliminated should have many people looking for something besides football to fill their time. I highly doubt that has much to do with it at all.

TicketMaster and LA Rams BLOCKING ticket sales for next week's potential game to out of town buyers!

The out-of-towners they are refusing would be largely in-state. At least, last I checked, San Francisco was still in California.

TicketMaster and LA Rams BLOCKING ticket sales for next week's potential game to out of town buyers!

It's really pathetic when teams resort to this, IMO. The Washington Capitals pulled this same maneuver around a decade ago, to keep Penguins fans out of their barn. Here's hoping the Rams fail to sell out and miss out on some revenue.

Where is everyone? Has anyone else noticed the slowness

Yes, I've noticed it too. This is just my opinion, but the new format doesn't lend itself as easily to seeing what's new and chiming in. ANd more effort = less likely to participate for many folks, self included.

RIP Marvin Lee Aday aka Meatloaf

RIP, Meat. I wouldn't call myself a huge fan, but I still dig Bat Out Of Hell from time to time.

RIP Marvin Lee Aday aka Meatloaf

Maybe the guy actually WAS Meatloaf. The 90s weren't exactly kind to a lot of acts from the 70s.

    First contacts at 60!

I'm on the Mrs Nutz path. I'd been wearing contacts since around age 16, but have pretty much dropped them in the last few years. Because even with the bifocal ones, doc said he could make them good for either reading or distance, but not both. Since I'm on a computer all day, they just aren't...

Is it time to replace the iPad?

I'd first go through and delete anything unnecessary that's eating space, such as apps you don't need/use, pictures, video, etc. And make sure you have the latest available OS update that's compatible.

33, baby! Home of Steelers' training camp for most of my lifetime. And yeah, Rolling Rock brewed in New Jersey is NOT Rolling Rock.

What's your hometown's claim to fame

Hey now, Pittsburgh also gave the world Fred Rogers, George Benson, Andy Warhol, Perry Como, Jeff Goldblum, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Joe Montana, and more.
