    50’s wiring

Thanks for that I remember seeing that many many years ago I guess I’ve forgotten more about what I know than what I actually know now. I remember it was pretty in-depth. I’m not arguing, or I guess I am arguing but hopefully in a constructive manner , and I fully concede that I might be hooking...

    50’s wiring

Are you sure about that-I mean the tone part/pot? I think the whole reason for me wondering about this is because I used to own old instruments… I guess when I owned them they weren’t that old, and neither was I ha ha but I was just looking for more ‘variance’ I guess out of my tone control. I...

    50’s wiring

Yes definitely easy to do that one change, but I might be onto something new with what I just found out. Of course I’m not that knowledgeable about this so I could have totally made a mistake with my meter, and my above post it’s just pertaining to the tone pot, it doesn’t have anything to do...

    50’s wiring

It’s pretty interesting I tried to answer my own question with a multimeter some clip leads, 500 K A pot, and a .22 cap, I set the multimeter to read the cap. With one lead attached to the cap where it would have been attached also at the signal input, and the other lead attached to the open...

    Midweek Backing Track(s) - Your Choice 01.19.22

Ha ha your replies are always uplifting! I’ve been composing a post in my head and I’m about ready to start it, I guess in the bad dog area about my hands and back and all that . Most everything I’m recording nowadays is thru the Pod Go, and I’ve usually got a couple things in the mono or...

    50’s wiring

i’ve been considering changing over to 50s wiring and seeing how I like that. It appears this is wired with the modern scheme. I figured I would just move the tone cap over to the middle/output/volume pot but I’m wondering if the difference in the way the tone pot is laid out would make a...

    Midweek Backing Track(s) - Your Choice 01.19.22

https://soundclick.com/LawrenceTovarJr. I wonder if this will work better when there are multiple tracks and you can just listen down to as many as you want-let’s see if this works? I guess not I’ll try another. It appears using this link takes someone to the top of my SoundClick page, Where...

    Midweek Backing Track(s) - Your Choice 01.19.22

Thank you did you get to hear the other versions? Or did you even want to ha ha? That’s partly why I’m asking as there are actually two versions of one song and three of the other.

    Midweek Backing Track(s) - Your Choice 01.19.22

https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14376417 I think I leave too many windows open and that might be leading to my problems loading up the right links. This should link to the third song or possibly Golden Lady. I did a few passes on both of those so far. It's sort of messed up but this...

    Dunlop strap lock problem

While I was answering some of these replies Jeanette sat there and kept working it and prying at it with a screwdriver… success! The one that was giving me trouble is the uppermost, shown unmounted. I used a clear penetrating oil but what was there when they finally came apart was quite dirty...

    Dunlop strap lock problem

No I’m totally hip to how they work and actually have a number of those same type of connectors that we used to work with in the coach building and off-road equipment also. I finally did get this apart and it is my newest set. there appears to be rust or corrosion possibly owing to lesser...

    Dunlop strap lock problem

I hear you there, on my bags, the ones that hold guitars that get gigged with all the time, or at this point it’s probably more proper to say used to get gigged with all the time, but yeah that Jim Dunlop style can be rough on the bottom of the bag when it can get set down on its tail often...

    Dunlop strap lock problem

I remember they make a pretty good beer also! Ha. Yeah I’ve got a good assortment of fender washers in the garage and I may just go back to using those, especially on stage/club/busking beaters. I may change to that style anyway because the Jim Dunlop’s stick out so far because of the design...

    Dunlop strap lock problem

I used to use those but they were in this goofy blue color. I’d probably use those again or I’d even go so far as to put a fender washer on there on some of the guitars but on a couple I switch the straps when I switch the guitar, in other words I change the guitar but the strap stays with me.

    Dunlop strap lock problem

Yes seriously man I’ve used these since I was a kid and I’m 60 now, Giggs all through my life never had them mess up before. I’ve even substituted the washers with different things, and sanded the heads of screws smaller so they would slide down the barrel… no problems until now, And yeah the...

    Dunlop strap lock problem

Has anyone run into a problem and solution for a locked on Dunlop strap lock? In 30 or more years using these I’ve never run into this problem before. I’ve obviously depressed it as much as I could, and I’ve also soaked oil in there overnight and this morning used a spring pin punch on it, but...

    What's Your Current Rig?

Thanks for that I’ll check it out. I’m not sure which exact Boss Chorus that is, But I do remember some of the earlier ones, I might be messing this up-some could maybe run on 12 V also and there was a different power supply? You would get weaker results running the one that could run on 12 V...

    What's Your Current Rig?

May I ask what type of step up cable? I run these two 5V phone/whatever back ups Wired series for 10 V. I’ve also got this 12 V 9.5Ah with a couple 7809 VR’s, and I power my Wah with the two purple batteries in series, about 8.6 V. even in series it runs the Pedal ‘’forever’’, sometimes...

    How do I learn from mistake-or ?

Yes but whenever we need a laugh Jeanette and I go back to South Park and Gerald B. on the keyboards, with the band Boston in the background. I’ll see if I can get a snippet… well I didn’t remember it was that possibly inflammatory. It’s at YouTube under “skankhunt 42 trolling”…When he’s at...

    How do I learn from mistake-or ?

I seem to remember a few years back Gibson being in trouble over rosewood and the politics of what was construed as raw or pre-worked wood, And how, I think it was fret slots….. maybe it’s just easier for me to say I think there can be a heck of a lot of politics with wood and leave it at that.

    How do I learn from mistake-or ?

I definitely hear you…Personally I find politics pretty un-sexy, well maybe had a small man crush on Henry Kissinger but come on Va Va Voom! Haha I just did my own spit take! I’m definitely smart enough to know never bring up religion, Although there’s a movie on YouTube right now “the lady in...
