    Overcoming Guitar Paranoia: Advice Welcome..

Believe it or not, my school is kinda strict on the partying, there isn't even one coed dorm, for, in their words," obvious reasons"

    La Cab Relic dilemma

I want to make my current 2 pup Cab a Single pup relic. (Especial) . It's a Squier, so I'm not worried about screwing it up (too bad). I have already stripped the old paint off to wood. Is there any way at all to fill the neck pup cavity without it showing through over time? It will be a solid...

    Overcoming Guitar Paranoia: Advice Welcome..

Yep. I spent my money to play em. I just started this thread to see how many felt the same and what advice differing opinions gave. I guess we're the minority :) Stolen is the only concern, and it's a small one for me, I couldn't care less about 400 dings, dents, and scratches. By the way...

My 'baby' is staying at home most definitely, now it's not the best playing I have, but it's the most sentimental by far. A Candy Apple Squier Affinity Tele that I bought in 09, my first Tele, and only guitar for several years, so it's got the natural relic story behind it.

Keith Urban "Clarence" tribute build - 40th anniversary telecaster

This is epic. HUGE KU fan. Only thing is IMO, the guard should be more of a cream, but you have a 40th, so you know, ya lucky... great looking build.

    Overcoming Guitar Paranoia: Advice Welcome..

That was not a rant :) It is my EXACT mentality, now that mentality goes against 95% of the gracious people that took their time to type on this tread, but I stripped my MIM La Cab of its 46 mile thick Poly and put an aged white, ivory light relic finish on it for a beater. I got it for 200...

Not trying to negate anyone but I will have my own room, so any instruments will either be with me or in my room in a case behind a locked door.

Fully aware. That was to preface the adults there.. not the students who are only there because it's cheaper tuition

That's my mentality! Ill be living in a suite style place with separate 1 person bedrooms, and it is a southern, Christian value based school, so the risk is lower than most. BUT, with that being said, it is still there. I'm not too worried though.

    Overcoming Guitar Paranoia: Advice Welcome..

I leave "the nest" for college in the fall, and I have a dilemma. Do I take my great playing Fender Tele and Strat, or the 'ehhh' playing Squiers to avoid anyone "messin' around"? Keep in mind, every time someone asks me why I like the beat up look, (natural battle scars, or relic, I love...

    MIM Cabronita String Tension Question

I heard a lot about the MIM bridges too before I bought it a few months back. I guess I got lucky, mine doesn't seem to be off, as the Squier Cab I have seems to have a bridge that is mounted slightly crooked compared to the pickup. I probably should have given more info as well, (however there...

    MIM Cabronita String Tension Question

My low E is currently a 52. I don't necessarily want 12s (just as a preference thing). It seems different string types within the same brand have different tensions, so I may look at that. Thanks guys for the advice, hope some more can weigh in as well.

    MIM Cabronita String Tension Question

I recently swapped from 10s to 11s on my Fenders because they felt too loose on the bass end. This went absolutely perfect on my Strat, the thing feels great, but they are still looser than I'd like on my Cab.The truss rod and string height is correct, and saddles are back as far as they can...
