Not guitar amp speakers but I still use my Bang and Olufsen S35's bought in 1977 and my Jamo J120 Studio Monitors bought in 198? while I lived in Denmark. A few years back I added a self built passive sub woofer and have my TV and music player running through them. The sound on the TV is...

Three sound samples; which do you prefer?

For my ears I found that track one had more treble, track 2 was more mid and track 3 was more bassy. For what it's worth I thought track 3 was very similar to early 70's Stones tones.

At school in the late 50's the janitors used the ash from the school boiler as a top layer on the paths around the buildings. One day I was running on the path to the school canteen, tripped and fell on the freshly ashed path and got a nasty open gash on my right knee. It was all washed out and...

    Your Oldest Working Computer?

My first PC was bought in 2009 just after Windows7 was released. Years later I bought a new PC and my wife who had become interested took over the older one. She just uses it for Ebay, Email, etc and it is still going today albeit with some replacement parts over the years.

I read the book Freak Out: My life with Frank Zappa by Pauline Butcher earlier this year and in it she says Frank was a huge table tennis fan. A very good read actually if you are interested in Frank or the Mothers.

The Most Popular Song of 1967 (Not The Beatles)

To the OP: It must have been in America then because as you can see here in the UK it didn't even get a mention, in fact I think it was just an album track in the UK. Here is a link from the Independent newspaper on the 12 most played songs 1967 in the UK...

Wait a minute, you met who?

At school in the early 60's in NE Scotland I was a member of a schoolboy soccer team picked to play against a side from Gordonstoun which was close by. Imagine our surprise when we saw Prince Charles was playing. In the end they took him off, as every time he got the ball he was fouled with his...
