The Byrd, Unleased! a variety of topics

Growing up in South Carolina where, at the time, you could legally buy beer & wine at age 18Miller High Life in the bottle was THE beer. Peeling off the “Miller Cross” sticker on the neck of the bottle without tearing it was a cool thing to do in our various states of drinking beer and smoking...

I wish grownups were running the world.

From that last description, I wouldn’t want TDPRI John flying the plane.

Interesting perspectives expressed by all. I hope this somehow ties into this wonderfully meandering thread . I firmly believe altruism and greed are just two sides of the same coin. We’ve all no doubt seen the speech from the 1987 movie "Wall Street," where Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko gave...

I know people will laugh, but I find it relatively amazing what you can get for 15 bucks

One can cook a hellava better steak at home for less. But I guess one can’t beat Outback ambience.

Better Call Saul Series Finale (Spoilers likely)

In retrospect, I should have started a post about Cinnabon!

Better Call Saul Series Finale (Spoilers likely)

You’re right, there was a jarring change in plotline and style after Howard’s murder. But, for me, the scene of Lola entering Saul’s apartment, candle flickering in a wisp of impeding doom, leading up to the shocking execution of Howard was one of the most gripping, wtf moments in television...

Better Call Saul Series Finale (Spoilers likely)

It kinda weird to finally realize that Walt and Jesse were unknowingly walking above the buried bodies of Howard Hamlin and Lalo Salamanca beneath the underground lab in Breaking Bad.

The writers of BB/BCS were meticulous in their attention to the storyline and respectful of the super fans they built along the way who obsessed on every word and detail in the shows. In BCS Season 2, some very analytical Better Call Saul fans and viewers noticed a very cool "easter egg"...

Cinnabon has been around awhile. They are considered by many to be the ultimate cinnamon bun. Break bad and ask for extra mini-tubs of the icing to slather on top for a “sugar high” that should be illegal. Cinnabon is a requirement in malls around this area.

Better Call Saul Series Finale (Spoilers likely)

I saw in some of the Better Call Saul bonus material “Talking Saul” where the producers laughingly joked how they never asked for any product placement compensation for Cinnabon—but perhaps should have.

Better Call Saul Series Finale (Spoilers likely)

Didn’t mean to throw y’all off. In my own mind, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and El Camino are my “trilogy” of the Breaking Bad universe—thus far—even though timelines cross, merge and weave throughout all the shows. Hope this clears up my personal phraseology.

Better Call Saul Series Finale (Spoilers likely)

I consider “El Camino” the third—as in a separate production to Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Just my own way of looking at the whole.

Better Call Saul Series Finale (Spoilers likely)

I thought Breaking Bad was the best of the trilogy. What is unique about Better Call Saul, was that it was both a prequel and a sequel to the events of Breaking Bad—giving a backstory and added depth to characters like Gus, Mike, etc.

Fun trivia: the address sign used on the album was not on the Muscle Shoals building when the photo was taken. The front was plain. The guys liked the address sign on the ablum so much they had a similar one made up that still appears today. Here is the building when I visited last year:
