    Best Custom Shop?

Thanks. The Knaggs just has a grind to it that I love. Unbelievable tone. It really is special.

Looking at G&L? Get this neck profile.

That player plus Strat neck has a modern C shape. Very similar to the G&L modern classic. I think it’s the same profile as the replacement neck I mentioned above. It was my favorite Fender neck. Yea man. Very comfy. You get warmed up on that thing your flying. ✊🏻

    Tone Specific pickups

I hear you but I wouldn’t brush it off. Wanting a Humbucker Single coil combo I’d be interested too.

    Tone Specific pickups

I spoke with them a few times. They’re very confident about the pickups. Seems they have the sauce. Virgil Arlo tree. Never had them. If you search MJT bodies on eBay they have them for auction once in awhile. You’ll save a couple dollars.

    Best Custom Shop?

I’ve been putting my collection together for better part of 20 years now. Took some time to figure out what was good what I liked. Always trading up, this and that. Fender Custom Shop Dual Mag ii ☝🏻. Roasted body and neck. This guitar has great pickups. Combination of Alnico 5 - 2 pickups. The...

Looking at G&L? Get this neck profile.

I have several guitars. A few CS Gibsons Stratocaster’s and a Custom Shop G&L ASAT. I’ve been building my collection for many years, I can say I’m very happy with it. The G&L 9.5” radius modern classic neck profile might be the best of all. I had one with a 12” radius and it wasn’t quite the...

    My first G&L

I have four G&Ls, two Legacy’s a hardtail Comanche and a Custom Shop ASAT. The ASAT is one of the best guitars I’ve ever owned. I love G&L, they’re one of the most underrated guitar companies. You can get a great deal on a used one because of that. My ASAT and Legacy will bury almost anything...

    Greetings from NYC

Born and raised in Hell’s Kitchen, fourth generation. I only go back to see my Mother. I hate the city, everything about it. It’s the biggest **** hole on the planet, completely sucks.

Finally found a lightweight strat: Fender USA Pro Standard

I’m pretty sure the average weight of a Stratocaster is between 7 and 8.5 pounds, 7lbs being considered light (and that’s usually a hardtail). I’ve put together many and could never get one lighter then that. Alder and Ash being the tone wood of choice, that’s the average. And all things...

like he said ☝️Why wouldn’t you just use these rubber strap holders? No modifications necessary, they work.

Fender responds to complaints that Tonemaster amps cost too much

Because it’s junk, and they used slave labor to do it.

Fender responds to complaints that Tonemaster amps cost too much

They’re outsourcing jobs, American jobs. They should be ashamed, never mind they’re charging $900 for an amp that cost them $50 in parts. Fender is successful because of Leo, Leo and that’s it.

Fender responds to complaints that Tonemaster amps cost too much

Yea that’s true, Chinese circuit board in it though. Kinda sucks The “Tone Master” that’s made in China. Fully assembled

Fender responds to complaints that Tonemaster amps cost too much

Made in China? or Mexico with Chinese parts? You want American made you’ll have to pay for the Custom handwired. Fender should be ashamed of themselves.

Anybody else ever hit themselves in the nuts with the Jack of an instrument cable while coiling it?

LOL! I’m not too old, but I’m old enough to find out as you do get older, gravity takes over and things start hanging a little lower. I did it to myself today while wrapping up a guitar cable, ding!! left nut. I was wearing sweatpants though, so not too bad. Have a good day guys, hope your...

My son has lost it - wanting to build a parts guitar of epic features

He’s never going to be happy with it. If I was you, I’d talk him into getting a Fender, maybe look around for a Custom Shop. Before long he’ll be looking at the other side of the fence. He’ll never come close to getting back what he put into it. Trust me, been there.
