NGD! I'm finally a CS owner! '51 HS Telecaster Relic

Tears will be cried, I am sure. It is like having a new car. There is always that window rock chip, parking lot door dent, thirty car pile-up, that puts your heart in your throat.

Enjoy your guitar. I think you will like the neck. I felt it to be different but really becomes natural to play.

I can't subtract, 8.8 lbs. more or less. It is not light but it is phat (physically hot and tantalizing).

Yes, I am amazed at the way the neck feels. I admit it was blind luck re: that feature. I would never had know the difference. There is way more knowledge on this site than I will ever have. Just really enjoy playing it. Ordered some strap locks today based on a recommendation. I want to...

Victorian parlor CS Tele; conjurs up some interesting visuals. Getting sklonkedelic with Dubussy (I think he was Victorian) in the dark paneled wood parlor room getting some old wood reverb. You guys are alright, I don't care what the Gibson forum says about you. o_O

Bathroom scale says: 9.8 lbs. Pretty sure it is one piece of rosewood. I see no seams in the body. It is a chunk, maybe slightly heavier than my strat and starcaster.

The seller said 2016 as a build date. I got the floor traveler from Fender, just gave them a serial number. They were real nice about it. They were not sklonklish at all. Some day I will pull the neck and take a picture of the markings and see what pharaohs tomb I might uncover. I get that it...

Thanks, yeah I really like the wood, the combination of wood types and the finish. The neck is something to behold that is for sure. I like the shape of the neck as well, never felt anything quite like it, fat but comfortable. What is weird from a psychological perspective is that I almost did...

Thanks, I get my penchant for birds eye from old British cars. It is a really nice piece of wood. It plays nicely as well.

Yeah, it is definitely a Wildwood guitar, came in the black case. This is what the seller wrote about the pickups: Custom shop '58 pickups that measure 8.15k bridge and 4.9k neck. Obviously resistances but other than that...it does not tell me much.

Thanks for the input re: RSD Bridge. I do see the differences. I was wondering if anyone can give me insight into the pickups. The description from the floor traveler: Bridge - HW WW10 Twisted Tele Brg Neck - Ditto Nk Are these the same pickups just in different positions? Any thoughts would...

Thank for the explanation. Nice to know it is "really special". Yeah, I actually put the ashtray on. I like the way it looks and it is a place to rest my hand. I found this as an definition of RSD: The RSD Bridge features a low profile without any sharp edges, can be easily adjusted, all...

Thank you. I now have two guitars with gold hardware (other is a Martin SWDGT). I agree with the way the details are integrated into a nice looking package. I have always been a sucker for brass and dark woods so I suppose that is what drew me. I also like the pick-guard and the retro look...

    The Boss Multieffects 2022 Thread

I have a GT 100 that I would like program some of the channels in a basic configuration. Say, one channel for just reverb, one to play with compression, etc. I am unfamiliar with what these really do and would like to play with my different guitars in these basic configurations. Kind of a...

    Any masterbuilt owners here?

Really like your guitar. Color combination, neck and trim, just beautiful. Are those nickel tuners? Does not matter just has that look.

I am keeping the pickguard that it came with. I kind of like it, it is rough and so it keeps my pinkie from slipping. In general I am pretty happy with it. I do love the neck.

I th That is cool, now I really see what you mean by the six piece bridge. I did not by this new and so I just found one I liked. It is supposed to be modeled after a '58 telecaster.

Thanks, what I was looking for was the "original" look with the brass bridges. I have a starcaster with the 6 piece and a strat with a wammy so now I am complete (maybe).

I get that. It is almost too much of a "show piece". Nice thing about selection. I see so many cool guitars that I would not think of but each has their own je ne sais quoi.

When I first picked it up I really wondered about the neck. None of my other guitars had the same feel. Now, I so love it. It is quite comfortable to play and gives you leverage in your motion.

Neck tints on Telecasters, which one do you prefer?

Depends on the body color. Some of the pale tints are beautiful with the right body. I have a Starcaster for which the neck matches the body almost perfectly.
