Wow, that was astonishingly quick. Thank you so much!

Struggling to transcribe a jazzy surfy chord (Spider-Man related)

I'm working on a project that requires me to cop some 60s surf chords in the style of the above and I'm trying to nail these particular voicings over a I-IV-V progression in C. I'm having a hard time picking out the slightly arpeggiated notes that play over the V in the above video (starting at...

Truss Rod Adjustment on a Classic Series 60s Tele

Hi folks! Haven't been around here for a few years but I recently dove head first back into Tele-town and I have some technical questions. I need to make a truss rod adjustment on my Classic Series 60s Telecaster and usually, I would take it to a tech but as I'm pretty handy and experienced...

Call me crazy but I want one of those Mastery bridges.

But... but... but... Bill Frisell certainly seems to like them. He's got three!

why didn't synthesizers ever replace the guitar?

Not sure how many non-synth enthusiasts will get that so I'm acknowledging it with a hearty chuckle.

Call me crazy but I want one of those Mastery bridges.

When Mastery first announced that they were moving in to Tele territory, the response here at the TDPRI was an overwhelming "Argh! My Eyes! What's wrong with a traditional three-barrel?!". Well now that the dust has settled a bit, is anybody using one of these things? I actually think they...

    New Found Lovefor MIM Fender

Price and sentimentality aside, the fact is that there are some seriously good guitars coming out of the Mexican Fender factory. The Classic series in particular offers outrageous value for money with top quality parts and consistent finishing. Maybe I am just attached to it because I've had...

    Merry Christmas TDPRI!

Whether you prefer nitro or poly, maple or rosewood, relics or non-relics, fingers or picks, plug in and play or a rack full of effects, single coils or humbuggies... Have yourselves a very Tele Christmas.

    NPD tomorrow.

I absolutely agree with everything you say here but the rest; not so much.

    NPD tomorrow.

Exactly. Enjoy your new pedal. The internet: a constant game of "my dick's bigger than yours!"

At least let the guy enjoy his new pedal for a while before you tell him how much of a sucker he's been. Jeez. Talk about raining on somebody's parade.

Spring reverb in DR feeding back.

Ok good to know. I've always taken my amps to a tech for revalving despite doing all my own work on everything else (including making cables and modding pedals). Anything that handles that much current and can store a charge, I don't want to go anywhere near. This should be safe though...

Spring reverb in DR feeding back.

Quick bump with another question. Say it's a bad tube (V3 - Reverb send, right?) is this something I can do myself without fear of electrocution. Just a straight swap without having to re-bias or anything? Again, I apologise for my ignorance. I'm pretty good with tech stuff but valve amps...

    Endless Dirt Pedal GAS?

I don't think I'll ever find a dirt pedal that I like so I'm going to stop looking. Rats are the best I've found. Overdrive pedals are a strange phenomenon. It seems that most are trying to achieve the natural sound of an amp at it's "sweet spot" by using devices that impose their own...

Triple Rat?! That is fantastic! It looks awesome too. Im going to have to talk to some local builders and see if they can rustle something like this up for me.

Next on my list: Reverb. Advice needed

I vote for the TC Hall of Fame. I had the Neunaber Stereo WET but I didn't really dig it. The wet reverb sound was very separate from the dry signal, which is completely the opposite of what I want in reverb. Right now, I'm perfectly happy with the spring in my Deluxe Reverb but if I was...

Lately I feel as Tho I Should Be Wearing Shoes

You can't beat a TDPRI fashion show. Take it from a 21 year old who considers himself to be pretty hip to this stuff. Dress shoes are very fashionable at the moment. I don't consider myself to be "grown up" but I'm a sucker for a pair of brown brogues or black oxfords. As mentioned above...

Absolutely, I run my Brown Rabbit (Rat clone by Freakshow FX) similar to yours but with even less gain. The classic John Scofield settings. Tight and chewy.
