Hi Milspec, how Hi Milspec, how's my buddy been, I hope all is well with you! So it appears I need to disassemble the latch and find the code on its cylinder. As an aside, after I wrote this Thread, it occurred to me if I should just simply call G&G to get one? :)

I would prefer an OEM one as close as possible (13 years have passed, so I can live with close as possible :) ) to the one that originally came with it CC :)

I'm curious how Pleking affects the resale value of a guitar. I'm sure many of you would NEVER buy a guitar without playing it, but the world is a changin', and I suspect more guitars are now purchased online than at brick and mortar stores. Regardless, I'll use an American Ultra...

As this Forum LOVES classic, older Fender Guitars Ricky, Milspec could buy a used pre-1980's car, and if it's been maintained well, it would be a GREAT one to own!

I'll bite :) If a store had two used same color Telecasters, and they both played/felt the same, were in the same condition, and one was Made in Mexico, and the other was Made in America, and they were the same price, which would YOU buy, and WHY?

That's why I said "neither of us would try to silence those who think THEIR country is great as well!" :) Again, damn it, you are IMHO 100% correct in that ALL countries in the world do, and SHOULD have "national pride" if they truly love their country!
