Yes there are two 5 meg on the board sitting in between the two .1uf caps, I also switched out the two GE 6V6 GT's fo another pair of Conn (organ) 6V6's and it's sounded better still.

I'll never crank it, it sounds really nice at 4 or 5 on the volume control and really clean. I'll most likely baby it.

You know what's sad, I went to a Guitar Center in New York and saw a Tweed Pro Amp early 50's $3100.00, and when I looked at the rear it and a 15 inch Jensen but a new one from Italy, I just felt maybe a Weber would work better??

Thanks to all, here's a few pics of the speaker. I had to repair a tear in it using Arlene's white glue and a good ply napkin. It's funny I had a 59 ribbed cone and didn't like it, but this one I do.

Hi all, I received the speaker last week and put it in the 53 Fender Deluxe and it sounds really good, clear high's but no icepick like before. I was wondering what the watts this speaker is rated for 15 or 20 watts?, also it's from a 59 organ with a black frame and smooth cone.

I also have one of the original 67 tele bridge it's steel, not brass like the ones Fender makes now but you could get them made in steel it add's to the twang!

I have one of these, it's a modern with the classic three chrome saddles of course, which I changed to three brass compensated saddles.

I want to reopen this thread about caps, I've been restoring a 53 Fender Deluxe and found a working set of Astron caps. They even test better than my other caps but having them in the amp for a few days I find them bright sounding is this the way they should sound?

As a owner of a old, old, Fender deluxe 53 amp I'm sure a later Deluxe reverb is terrific. You just have to wait for one at the condition and price you want.

I got them from a seller off ebay called anoldradioshop he had a few of them and say's he tested them to 400 volts. So far they're good.
