My grandmother passed away in 2020 and my grandfather passed away in February. I was raised by my grandparents so, it's kinda more like losing my parents.
As a family we're now in that phase of sorting through the stuff and I got my grandmother's piano. My parent's siblings all decided it was...
Traded a RYRA 808 for this.
It's fun. Different than a current production rat because it's more open sounding and there is more note separation and clarity.
At it' extreme end out' less fuzz like than a RAT.
It has a cool cocked wah sound when the tone is rolled back towards 11 o'clock...
Was fortunate enough to get one of these off of CL. What a joy. Every guitar sounds great through it. It is heavy, but unexpectedly is great at any volume level.
I could use this in any situation I'd be in as I don't djent or play thrash metal. I feel like if I wanted it to, this thing could...
Experience(s) appreciated.
Thinking about getting one.
For reference, my main guitars are a CS tele and ES335. I play rock and roll and tonally like to be close to Cream era Clapton, early ZZ Top, and Zeppelin.
I love near Pasadena, CA and don't want to drive to Eric's in Van Nuys.
Any recommendations?
FYI - my immediate need is neck pickup replacement into a 335. I can solder but, don't want to do it myself on the 335.

It's an Orange OR50 head. One channel with a defeatable master volume by foot switch. I got it for $900 and a Maxon AD999 delay pedal. It came with a road case. I had to buy the foot switch separately.
I got this two weeks ago and...
Picked this up in a trade today and even better, maybe met a new friend.

It is bright
It is small (relative to other 1x12 combos)
It can get loud
When driven it would be loud and for reference, maybe enough to annoy a spouse.
The tremolo is nice, It is noticeably different than a blackface.
To me, it is pretty close and may be identical sonically to the Fender Chris...

Really pleased with this purchase. I want to have as few pedals as possible for my current band and in life in general.
This fuzz sounds great asa stand alone into my...
My daughter asked me who my favourite guitar player is. Instantly, Billy Gibbons came to mind. Then it was Jimmy Page.
I told her Jimmy Page.
I like the Led Zeppelin catalogue and it's range better than ZZ Top's.
That was the deciding factor.
I do have to say that so many times listening...
I'm on a trading streak since I got my Matchless. Two weeks ago, traded a MIJ Blue Flower tele for a P-90 SG Classic.
On Monday, I traded my Victoria Double Deluxe and a fuzz pedal for this 2017 Les Paul Traditional. I've had a couple of days to get familiar with its and I'm loving it. 8.7...
I have bought and sold over a handful of both. I have finally realized that I like both and should just always have one of each.
What gear do you keep getting, selling, and then getting again?
FYI - Rats work really we'll with a Matchless lightning.

Quite often I obsess on a song. Today at about 2 pm, it became TLC's No Scrubs. I learned it although a little rough.
Here's the lesson I used just in case you're feeling it.
The good folks at Matchless let me know my amp was ready and I hopped in the car to get it.

I was so excited I for got this came today as well. It's a tremolo pedal with reverb. I really like it already. Small and great tone...
Go this last night and I love it already. Cleaned it up and re-strung with 9's. Sounds great in my rig and surprising less less bright than my CS Caballo. Weighs 7.9 lbs. Not light but also not quite a boat anchor. I had a Nash and two CS tiles and this one sounds just as good and it resonates...
Paired this with a 50's Jensen P12Q.
Replaced a Jensen C12N reissue.
The Celestion got rid of the strident highs, added low mids, and made the bass response broader. A total win.
I feel like this speaker would work in most rigs to make them less fatiguing on the ears.
The amp is a Victoria...
When I was a kid, a hall mark of daytime TV was Claude Akins or Martha Ray endorsing some product or service. Now it's Ice-T's turn. Oh how the world has changed.
My main amp is Victoria Double Deluxe. My main guitar is CS Tele Caballo. I also have a Les Paul Traditional.
My sonic goal is an amp that's at the edge of break up without killing my family or pissing off an already grumpy sound man. I'm in a rock band that leans towards rockabilly and roots...
