So sorry to hear. It's been 5 years since my best buddy vanished from my life 5 years ago. My deepest condolences on your loss. You handled it the way it should be.
We went this route with my MIL 10 years ago. It was a long haul and frustrating at times as she was very cantankerous and hard to get along with, but that's what family does. I commend you on your selfless actions and wish you the best. Stop in and see us when you can, but I, for one...
Prayers up.

The Tele was borrowed during the IOW festival and was stolen along with the '61 Strat. Fortunately, both were recovered in a water filled ditch, abandoned by thieves after becoming too hot to handle.
The Corvette was purchased by his brother/manager Donal from a pawn shop and became his go-to...
Only got to see him once, during the "Jinx" tour. He did not disappoint. At one point I was less than 10 feet from him while he played "Out on the Western Plain". I was mesmerized.
