Like some have said here, in my experience, amp-in-a-box pedals need to be plugged into a power amp for the best results. So, either in the return of an effect loop of a guitar amp (the chain is guitar -> amp-in-a-box -> effects return), or in a power amp (guitar -> AIAB -> power amp -> cab)...
