This is always the first thing I do, especially when I get a guitar from out of state.
Did it require the neck pickup route to be enlarged for the strat pickup mod? If not, I'd avoid routing it but that's just me.

I'm not sure where "they" say that, but it looks like a maple cap neck/board. The back is clearly satin on the back and fretboard, with gloss on...
The neck may be on the thin side, but it feels a lot like most MIA Tele necks to me. The spec says "60s C", w/ 9.5 radius, truss rod at the heel....
I ordered this via my "dealer" back in February, it arrived in June, but I was busy with issues this summer and just got to unbox it...
I have to wonder if maybe the dealer dropped the ball somewhere when designating what type of built it was, since there are a variety.
