Active pickups don't react as well to dynamic changes as passives from my experience. It's almost like you always have a compressor pedal engaged, which is good for cleans and heavy music but you lose some of the expressive element, especially if you like your variation in pick attack and play a...
Hey everyone,
so I was on the fence of getting a Telecaster I could play more modern and high gain styles with, quite honestly I had the Ultra Luxe by Fender in mind. Now the guitar costs a good amount of cash and the Fender Ultra in Texas Tea I tried the other day at my local store left me a...
As said, now that I reinstalled the Twisted Tele Bridge pickup the squeal is completely gone. It might still be a not perfectly flat surface, or the material of the bridge, or the thickness. In the end, it doesn't matter now. I had no problem when she was stock, the problem is gone now that I...
SOLVED!!!
Guys, I'm sitting in my kitchen as I'm typing this right now and my soldering iron is cooling off...

I already tried dampening everything, I used open cell foam. No luck there...
What exactly do you mean...

I stuck some foam under the bridgeplate. Didn't fix the problem unfortunately...
I added a groundwire for the bridge.
As said, the pickup is not the problem...
Thanks! :)
I made sure I didn't crank the screws down too tight, just a snug fit until they bite. I might stick some toothpicks in the holes and see if that fixes the issue, however I don't think the screws are the culprit. The bridge on the guitar has two in front as well to prevent lifting...
Hey everyone,
I'm new here, just registered, but I'm a frequent poster and longtime user over at the Marshallforum :)
Now my Telecaster Journey started with a cheap 88€ Harley Benton Tele from Thomann, then I got bitten by the bug and got myself this beauty here:
It's a 75th Anniversary...
