Vintera 50s. Big neck, great pickups, and it comes in Fiesta Red.
I wanted that one, but I already have an AV 64 and I figure they're pretty close to the same guitar, so I passed. But it's a beautiful guitar!
Yeah, we just did this
Finally got to play one today. I was hoping I would love it, but I didn't. I live on the neck pickup on all my teles and this was just too bright...
Journey fan since the late 70s. Love Neal's playing, but when he's noodling on IG or FB and in his solo work, I just don't love it. I think he's...
Second on those gray bottom AV64 pickups. Outside of Josefina/Abby handwound pickups, these are my favorites.
I bought the Korina Offset Tele last year because 1) it's beautiful, 2) it has a chunkier neck, which I like, and 3) it has P90s. It's a very well...
My first tele was the 50s Vintera. Went to GC with no intention to buy anything except a tuner. Picked it up just to noodle and that fat U neck...
This right here is your answer. Do you prefer vintage specs or modern specs?
I will choose vintage every time, but that's just what I like.
My 2014 AV 64 is my favorite. My Custom Shop '55 is a close 2nd.
I paid more than that for mine recently and it didn't have the original pickguard. But the pickups sound great. It's a very nice guitar.
No one has suggested a Fender Blues Jr. It's more than enough for at home playing. Perhaps it might not be enough for a gig. But I get a lot of...
I will wholeheartedly second this. That pedal is awesome.
My 2014 '64 AV is my favorite of all guitars, including my Custom Shop '55 Esquire. Those gray-bottom pickups are just fantastic. Add that to the...
Fender Tre-verb (reverb always on, tremolo depending)
Browne Protein OD or Groff Imperial British OD
TC Flashback II (occasionally, depending)
Custom Shop '55 relic in FR; 50s Vintera in FR.
I have 5 so you probably can't go by me.
And when I have the alternate wiring harness installed, the neck pickup removed, and the alternate pickguard installed, I'll have an Esquire, with...
I think when you put in the Esquire harness, you remove the neck pickup. It also came with an extra pickguard for the one-pickup configuration.
1 - bridge pickup directly to jack
2 - bridge pickup with tone control
3 - bridge pickup with tone rolled off (set)
Yes, that's exactly what this is. It came with the Tele harness installed, and frankly, it sounds so good, I'll probably keep it like this for a...
Starting with a Vintera 50s, then moving on to the 70th Anniversary Broadcaster, and then to the AV 64 Tele, I finally took the plunge and decided...
In a recent interview touting their latest release (yes, they still make new, awesome music), Nielsen said they're just "too dumb to quit."
Road Worn has the nitrocellulose finish. Vintera is the poly.
I have the 50s Vintera and that neck is awesome and pickups are great too.
