I would try hooking it to a nice 2x12 cab first see if that sounds better, if not your idea of just get two sounds best. My champ sounds huge...

I love my Princeton Reverb Reissue..this one has a 12" Celestion Creamback and Pine cabinet. Its sweet, versatile and all I need to grab and go....
The trend is smaller amps mic thru PA at gigs. Princeton is my choice for grab and go amp and the tone is just killer.

Theres lots of cheap used amps that would work. I think a used Marshall DSL 40 would be killer.
Definitely different tones, Celestion more mids. Jensens have those clear highs.
