  • The problem with builds like this and being paid for it is the many hours it’ll take me to make a body, and the risk of things go wrong.
Well, I am no professional builder, just a hobbyist. I will send you the (free) .pdf so you can make a template yourself if you want.
Love your Dusty Hill build. How much would it cost to do another? :)

    I guess we’re around € 400,- now:

    - second hand Allparts neck with tuners € 180,-
    - one piece abachi wood € 40,-
    - Seymour Duncan pickup € 65,-
    - 2 saddle bridge € 35,- incl. shipping
    - hardware, filler, nitro lacquer € 95,-

I guess we’ll need an extra € 50,- for clear finish and polishing, and a set of bass strings € 30,-.

That’s not including the hours I spent ! It’s for a friend, and my first wood body ever.

So if you plan to build one yourself, I guess tou need to spend about € 500,-. Of course that depends on some choices you have to make: the wood we used is relatively cheap, and so are the pickup and other parts. And we bought the neck second hand.

    But: it’s fun !

Good luck and show us what you’ve got !
