I just picked up a '64 Gibson GA-8T and am a bit confused about the tube lineup. The schematic I have shows a 6C4 in the V2 position but I'm not sure that's correct. Your amp looks exactly like mine and I was wondering what tube is in the V2 position in your amp? Thanks in advance!
I drove a 1950s IH stakebed briefly once, with some IH inline six in it. Ton and a half? Two ton? Can't remember. But it had a very low first gear, and it was screaming at 45-50 mph on the highway. But it could move a big load with a small engine...
Me too. We have a small farm, but our Toyota T-100 is big enough for what we do. Still, every time I see the old stake bed and grain bed trucks running around here at harvest time, it makes me want an old truck way bigger than I could ever use.
Man, a '46...I wonder what something like that would have for an engine? Some variant of the stovebolt inline 6? If so, must have been geared LOW.
