Opinions on the Friedman Smallbox pedal

For the time being I'm busy learning how to use my new Fuzz Face, and I love it!.

No. Not yet. I haven't ordered it yet.

I made a trade that only would make sense to me (NGD)

Not at all. If it ain't broke, don't fix it (or break it) with something like a Gforce and complexities many people woludn't want on stage.

    O Canada . Who’s your favorite Canadian band/performer?

    Yes, especially his ditch trilogy

Now I need (not!) a Tone Bender style pedal to complete the classic trio

I will try putting the fuzz face in front of a TS style pedal, to see how it sounds.

Also you can push a fuzz with an od, and unleash mayhem

Thanks. A good fuzz doesn't necessarily cost a fortune. They are very simple circuits.

    Either a mk1, a mk3 or a scarab deluxe style bender.

Oh no, more pedals . Seriusly the GeSi Face is very nice. Set it, forget it, and just use the volume knob. The other Muff style pedal is very nice, because it has plenty of mids. They arrived today. A take on the Guild Foxey Lady (a Big Muff with a mids switch), and a take on the Fuzz Face. I'm just getting familiar with them but so far I really like them :D

    Van Morrison binge...

All the session musicians are/were first rate. Guitarist Jay Berliner worked with Charles Mingus.

    Van Morrison binge...

You're very welcome. All accounts on how Astral Weeks was recorded, basically tell the same story: during the three sessions, Morrison sang and played acoustic guitar in an isolated booth, and the backing musicians were following Davis, who in turn was following Morrison. No one recalled having...

The bass player, Richard Davis, stole the show on that album. He also worked with avant garde jazz maestro Eric Dolphy. And guitarist Jay Berliner also worked with another jazz giant, Charles Mingus. It was a first rate ensemble.
