    Maple covers for sure. Careful with the grain direction of those ;) Purists may claim that reversing the grain will impact the magnetic properties of the pickups....

    Those taps on the wood sound like congas to me Gil! Highly percussive and super lively. What I'm wondering is how this will be represented in an electric guitar. Also, did the tap tones change after drilling the pickup routs?

    Beautiful as ever Gil. You haven't forgotten how to build them 'single cuts' ! What's up with the pickups covers? Quite shiny, still aged and nice pronounced bevels on them.
