birds and stones? trem pedal to tame deville volume pot?

Cool. Thanks. Already swapping out v1 for sure. Do you think I could use the volume pot in a tremolo for that change in sweep? I‘Ve never used one of those pedals and I can’t really try one out now. Thanks!

birds and stones? trem pedal to tame deville volume pot?

Hey all, I've been working on taming my blues deville. Planning to deal w/ the linear volume pot issue w/ a volume box or EQ pedal w/ volume in the effects loop (as well as V1&2 tube swaps). But I'm also thinking about getting an inexpensive tremolo pedal, and I see one some folks like here...

    Micro Bassman/Deluxe advice?

Thanks both. Looking at the schematics, I think can do this. I'm imagining the deluxe with the NFB and Bright switch would give a lot of flexibility to it as well. Robrob, how do you think it would sound using my deville 410 as a 4x10 speaker cab? Not having to build a cab makes it feel in...

    Micro Bassman/Deluxe advice?

This is super helpful. Thank you Dan. Makes me feel like I could do this. Does anyone out there have an opinion re: deluxe vs bassman in terms of ease of build, tone, volume? Thanks all!

    Micro Bassman/Deluxe advice?

Hi All, Rob Robinette's micro amps have caught my eye, and I'm thinking it might be time for a project. Exploring building one or the other in a simple head (just a metal chassis), using my 4x10 deville as a cab, w/ a reverb and trem pedal. These are the two amps that most capture the sounds...

    low volume tube amp advice?

I’m going to drop some different tubes in the Deville and maybe get a effects loop volume pot just to deal w the BS linear one it has. but now I am off to the races thinking about what micro. JSMac’s and rob rob’s seem like what I’m after. May make an inefficient cab but to start, just try...

    low volume tube amp advice?

Again, super helpful. where are these “Chinese made champ/deluxe heads?” mans Robrob, thanks for all the advice on this. Any reason you’d go Princeton v deluxe or bassman micro? Deluxe and bassman are two sounds I love but want quiet.

    low volume tube amp advice?

This thread is golden. Thank you all. I've gone down the rabbit hole. Big time. Here is what I'm thinking: Get an effects loop "attenuator" (omnisonic or equiv) which I know isn't a true attenuator but can make it easier to manage the volume on the deville which goes from 0 to broken windows...

    low volume tube amp advice?

Big amps: blues Seville 410. Carvin x60. (Both 6L6 power +12ax7/5791). Also Marshal JCM combo and a Roland JC. But I really feel the first too. They just don’t make sense now that I’m not playing in loud bars anymore. The 410 was even too loud for that.

    low volume tube amp advice?

wow. Y'all are amazing. SO much in here. Follow ups questions: @robrob: Looking into micro LTP Bassman. This could be really cool, actually, especially w/ reverb. I'm handy, but I haven't picked up a soldering iron since I was a kid at summer camp and that was a long time ago. Is there...

    low volume tube amp advice?

Hey All, I've been lurking here for a long time, and learned a lot. This is my first post. I'm looking at a few different options for a home amp, for the style of music I play: mostly old music: old blues (Muddy, Hubert Sumlin, Fred McDowell, BB & Albert King, ESPECIALLY Jesse Ed Davis...
