Is there a good Tech 21 Sansamp Classic layout and schematic?

Yeah, I didnt realize the circuit board was hidden in epoxy... but I think I'm getting it.

Is there a good Tech 21 Sansamp Classic layout and schematic?

Yeah, where the led light is connected to the little hidden board had snapped off. There was barely a trace / lug visible... But I grinded away a small piece of the white backing to reveal enough trace to solder to. I got that much done. I think that was the hardest part and probably why the...

Is there a good Tech 21 Sansamp Classic layout and schematic?

That is basically my question. Is there a good Tech 21 Sansamp Classic layout and schematic out there somewhere. I have looked quite a bit, but results are sketchy at best. The question arises because I bought a broken pedal at a discounted rate... because it looked like they just tried to...

Are Squire frets softer than vintage or new Fender frets ?

Yeah, and I will post more results soon. I meant to have it done already, but it's taking longer than I thought to convert the files to something understandable.

Are Squire frets softer than vintage or new Fender frets ?

The first number is a percentage of the total elemental composition. The second number is the possibility of error. The results say "no match" because silver nickel is not a metal that this machine is set up to recognize... but you can tell be the percent of copper and nickel that that is what...

Are Squire frets softer than vintage or new Fender frets ?

Here is the first PMI report. It represents a 1965 all original Fender Mustang with small vintage frets vs a 2000's SquireVM Mustang with tallbnarrow frets (I think?)... also compared some hardware (the Cigar tubes... which are different even though the frets are the same). The hardness...

Are Squire frets softer than vintage or new Fender frets ?

The Fenders I tested are a 1964 Mustang, a 1970 Mustang(usa), and a newer (not sure year) fender acoustic made in korea. The squires are a VM Mustang(indonesia), a classic vibe tele... Sorry for taking so long. Having trouble converting the files to something yall can read... but the short...

Are Squire frets softer than vintage or new Fender frets ?

Ok, so I intentionally havent mentioned anything other than Fender and Squire fret wire. Other brands and designs, I'm sure, are different. I just wanted to get a feel for where everyone stands before I post the results of the tests I ran. I tested several vintage Fender frets (pre and post...

Are Squire frets softer than vintage or new Fender frets ?

And I'm just asking about personal experience and opinions... on fender vs squire, generally speaking.

Are Squire frets softer than vintage or new Fender frets ?

Yeah, but I'll give you a hint... it appears that despite eras, batches and models... not aftint things much.

Are Squire frets softer than vintage or new Fender frets ?

I've heard many people say that Squire frets wear out faster than Fender frets. Maybe they use a different, softer metal... What do you think? (Warning... I have some new data to share after voting is complete.)

    NOS 12AX7 Surprised Me

Yes, I agree in that case. But when a company says the plates are made of "carbonised nickel", I dont think they are refering to color. Obviously that means those particular plates are actually nickel.

    Well said.

    NOS 12AX7 Surprised Me

That article is the same one I read. It's pretty clearly stated a couple of time in there that actual carbonised nickel was used almost excludively before the war... and on certain tubes all the way until today. Honestly, to me, aluminised steel has more of a traditional "nickel" color than...
