  • hay any idea roughly how much all the hardware of any guitar might be that you have built?i have my timber down to 8lb 8oz still have back control cavity/arm and belly contours/pickup cavity's and arm shape to do,just looking for a rough idea before i put the top on,i might take more out ya know,cheers.

    No idea, it depends on what you get. You can get "Ultra lite" tuners and things like that to help with weight.

    hay do you have any tele neck pdf's hang'n about in your shop that you could lend me lol, i seem to have lost mine somewhere in my laptop,tiz a big laptop ya know,can't do much more until iget my router bits,so on to neck temp nxt,thanks

    3 basses and I think I'm on guitars 4 and 5 right now. I have a couple guitars to build for friends, possibly a couple basses for people who know a guy I made a bass for, and hopefully a new bass for myself.

    hay i could not comment in /on your black walnut guitar,but i was looking at one of your builds and i'm nearly sure you mentioned the word for like the way two woods blend, under your right arm, well i want to do something like this,i saw a pic on the net somewhere the other week and i love it,so can you tell me the name of this please,so i can look it up and learn as much as possible? and what oil did you use,

    The forearm contour?

    I think I used oil-based polyurethane (minwax brand) the first time and later I re-finished it with water based lacquer, if I remember right. I like the way the oil based poly looked though.
