A little about me...I'm Tony and was a full time pro solo singer/guitarist for 13 years touring the UK from my late teens to early 30s but retired because I was living out of a suitcase touring up to 40 weeks a year while my kids were growing and missed them terribly so in the end gave it up and I never picked up a guitar again for nearly 30 years.
I was never the world's greatest guitarist but could produce a decent sound or two with my old 100 watt Selmer Selectortones and purpose built pickups for my generic guitar. The amps sadly went after I retired and the old guitar's neck is beyond service as it has acquired a nasty curve through neglect as well as 10 years of almost nightly use.
My music style back then was pretty much basic country-rock and I particularly enjoyed reproducing 50s sounds which went down very well with the audiences I entertained. Looking back, it was very basic when compared to today's music but I suppose I couldn't have been that bad back then as I managed to make a comfortable full time living for 13 years and had earned enough money to buy my first home outright by the time I was 22.

Just over three years ago, my daughters encouraged me to record some music for posterity and I started picking up bits and pieces which included a Zoom R24 recording deck, a pair of Resolv A8 monitors together with a couple of Line 6 amps ( which compared to my old valve gear are pretty **** to be honest) plus most of the gear I needed to do some decent recordings including a mint 2004 MIM Telecaster which I picked up for peanuts which I will be asking about on the appropriate forum.

Sadly, just after I'd acquired all the gear about 3 years ago my health took a serious dive and according to the doctors I shouldn't be here now but so far I've proved them wrong but everything was put on hold so as time is of the essence, I think it's about time to I got on with it as I don't know how long I've got left LOL!;)
