I honestly can't hear a difference between tube and solid state amps.

As long as I can get a great sound out of my gear, I don't give a flip. And the amp I choose(or any other piece of gear) is included in that assessment. I quit tubes in 2003, and haven't missed them. But everyone should "do you". If "doing you" leads you to prefer one over the other, choose it...

Which other modulation or effect is most common in rock music?

Hi, I'm looking at possibly adding another effect to my board. I have chorus, flanger, delay, and reverb, and was wondering which other effect might go well on a straight ahead rock pedalboard. The ones I'm thinking of are phaser, vibrato, or maybe a vibe or rotary type of effect. Home player...

Doubling, Tripling Up On Your Favorite Pedals

Not me. I buy what works for me, and don't have the cash to buy multiples. Besides, since most pedals out there are some derivative or "take" on pedals that are older than dirt, I'm pretty sure if something goes I'll be abe to find something equivalent when it does. I have made music with so...

"Was the [guitar, amp, etc.] stored in a non-smoking environment?"

Yep. A few weeks after I quit, I realized just how badly I had been poisoning myself. Live and learn, and hope the damage is minimal.

Check the air vents; we had an incident here the owner had shoved those air fresheners down the vents and did not tell us. Just a thought.

Thanks. I'm using Reaper, and I actually messed up on the levels because I am so used to -10db for that, which seems to work best there. So it is a bit quiet. I haven't mixed music in a while, thanks for the heads up.

"Was the [guitar, amp, etc.] stored in a non-smoking environment?"

Honestly, if I went to bars and clubs now I don't know how comfortable I'd be; I'm used to looking through all that haze. LOL

"Was the [guitar, amp, etc.] stored in a non-smoking environment?"

Only in this day and age will you find stuff that's been in a "smoke free" environment. Anything that is 1980s or under and has been gigged has seen many, many smoke filled bars and clubs. But I do understand the sentiment. When I quit smoking and got my nose back the stench was unbelievably...
