American Professional Tele Bridge Plate Swap

Not the 80’s elite. Much different. I assume the new elite and professional use the same tooling locations. For many parts.

American Professional Tele Bridge Plate Swap

Anyone know if an Elite bridge plate is a direct replacement fit for the professional bridge plate? I’m a fan of the 90’s era bridge plate. thought an easy swap if the elite fit the pro screw holes.

Paulie, For me it was that I wanted a rosewood board, and a slimmer neck. It seems like all the other necks are larger but I could be mistaken. I prefer a maple neck so I wanted to have something different. And the maple necks are larger than the 60’s carve.

Mine is 7lb 5 oz weight. I do notice a little slight attack on the g at the nut but not as noticeable when fretted. Interesting hour saddle change improved as well as eliminated the issue!

I saved for 2 years to find something special. This tele seems to fit the bill. 63 spec body with slab board neck. Twisted tele pickups sounds good to me. A little scooped but way more clear than my 90’s American Standard. Neck width is a little more narrow than my other tele but not...

Need some input on Neck width and general Vintage vs Professional/Elite shape

I'm mostly obsessing about the string being too close to the edge but I'm sure I'm just being obsessive and thinking too much about this.

Need some input on Neck width and general Vintage vs Professional/Elite shape

Nut size is 1.650 vs a little wider on Standards. And bridge spacing is a little more narrow I believe in the thinskin.

Need some input on Neck width and general Vintage vs Professional/Elite shape

I have had my eye in 2 teles and now I'm a tad concerned about the neck shape. I have been looking at the Wildwood Thinskins and the new American Originals.... My concern is that I have always played American Standards and these 2 models have a little different nut size etc. Anyone have any...
