Jeff Beck's Diamond Dust

Ok guys, something for extra credit. Here is my reworking of Jeff Beck's Diamond Dust from his Blow By Blow album, minus the guitar. I'm sure many of you are familiar with the song. So dust off the CD and learn the guitar and lay it down on my BT. If you don't own the CD, buy it and learn it! (just kidding!)

Oh, I think he's great. "Blow By Blow" was probably the last record I had of his though.

I just for whatever reason couldn't produce something here. Great track though Russ.

I'm not a note-for-note "copy player x's playing" kind of guy. It's not fun, not my forte and already done by them and better then I could ever do it. I try to get some of their essence or a short quote but lets face it I, well, I suck , and Jeff Beck, well, is Jeff Beck . I always strive to develop my own voice on guitar, and even if that sucks, my playing will be true to me and my influences and flow more naturally from me.

I agree with Mjark above! I will take a crack at this, but I have gigs all weekend, I charted it out. The head is beautiful but I won't learn that because I don't plan to perform this (not yet anyway). I'll improvise over it once or twice through, no more.

Thanks for the kind words. If I had a chance to woodshed/gig it, it would certainly round into form. Your track is extremely well done. If anyone cares, it's my Nocaster relic (2000/1) through the THD plug in for SONAR. Wiggle stick could have come in handy, but I wanted that Tele bridge tone.

I saw this a couple days ago and I finally got a chance to step in it. I apologize for the distortion, I've tracked it down to the cheap phone I have to use after I've recorded it onto my two track looper. The original is clean and when I load it to my iPhone it's still fine, as the"master" goes on the stereo looper it's still cool. Somewhere when I take it out of the SD card and loaded into my old phone to name it and send it to SoundCloud that's where it goes bad.
