Hey guys!

I hope you're all doing awesome!

I wanted to share a video that I just made and I also wanted to open up a discussion about underrated guitar/gear brands.

Lately, I've been playing guitars from this company called Stanford Guitars. They're a sister brand to the Maybach company and they make really solid instruments!

Not sure why this brand is not blowing up!

What's a brand that you like but feel they're highly underrated?

Here's the link to my video, cheers guys! :

There are dozens of brands before that one, dozens. I hope you are not touting guitars for sale you might be in the wrong forum. Best of luck.
hey buddy, that is definitely not my goal. I ain't no guitar salesman. I'm a student, work a part-time kitchen job and I am very passionate about guitars. The YouTube thing is my main musical outlet at the moment and it's all for the love of guitars! cheers!

Simon and Patrick, a Godin brand, makes very fine acoustic guitars. The brand is almost unheard of in the states. In fact, I’d never heard of the brand until I took what I now know as a Showcase Rosewood down from the wall in a little mom and pop in Claremont, CA and couldn’t put it back. Just an amazing guitar. An Adirondack spruce top over solid rosewood. Set up my way for easy finger picking, it’s just about perfect.

PureSalem Guitars from Miami are criminally underrated. The one man shop is producing some amazing and unique guitars which are high quality and affordable.

The owner Rick is a real stand-up guy who truly cares about his clients. Besides being a fellow lefty (one of the main reasons I was drawn in), he started the company from scratch and busts his butt everyday to make sure his guitars are the best he can make them.

I know it sounds like an ad, but I have no affiliation with them other than being a big fan. Every model comes in lefty too which is unheard of in the industry. But if anyone knows the struggles of southpaws to rock some decent guitars, it's a southpaw.

Check them out!

Daion were cool MIJ guitars and basses made in the late 1970s and early 1980’s
They were very well made and largely “off the beaten path” in their designs.
I had a great Daion bass.
I let it go, and I’m seeking another.

Good call! I had a Daion acoustic 6 string in the early 80s and I loved it. I forget what I did with it. I think I traded it in on an electric when I joined a band and needed an electric guitar. Mine had a scooped bottom, where the strap pin goes. I'm going to look for a picture of it.

Yamaha electrics.
Yeah, I‘ll second that...

Can‘t put my finger on it, but for whatever reason Yamaha makes quality product, yet their brand does not appeal to me as a „genuine“ brand. Resell values are an another thing too.

I don‘t know, it‘s weird but I would rather buy an Epi or a Squier than a Yamaha.

The Revstar line is amazing tho. I guess they need more courage and push out more stuff like that...
