1990 Fender HRR '50s Stratocaster

Price:
USD 795.00
Given the success of the increasingly aggressive sounds, in 1990 Fender decided to export from Japan a new series of Stratocasters, with classic contour, but “hotter”. The "Hot Rodded Reissue Series" Stratocasters quickly became famous because they were used by Richie Sambora, characterized by the presence of a Di Marzio humbucker with /coil tapping/ at the bridge, twenty-two frets, round neck heel (strangely, “FENDER U.S.A” engraved), and a double locking Kahler Steeler tremolo.

Great for rock and 80s/90s metal, plus the 5-way switch gives you classic Strat tones across a very broad spectrum. Richie Sambora used one of these, and it was the basis for his signature Stratocaster (his had the star fretboard markers). Fender stopped manufacturing this Japanese-made model, because the quality was so good, it was creating unwanted competition with the U.S. made Floyd Rose Classic Stratocaster. This guitar is all original and in excellent condition. Comes with Fender case.
