Wiring an Equire-Style single pickup guitar?
Here are three options supplied by Jurgen Kuhn (TDPRI username: tonfarbe) from Germany.

Standard Equire Wiring

but with the tone control set to the rear position of the 3-way switch.

Simple Esquire

Be aware, that these diagrams show the modern switches with lug #1 on the left in the upper row. Older Switches have the the soldering lugs mirrored with lug #1 starting on the left in the lower row. No matter how the lugs are arranged on your switch, if you use the numbers in the diagrams as a guide, it will work.

Jurgen also likes the simple 0.047 uf cap for the "bassy" sound more.
If you want to go that route, forget about the cap + resistor mess from lug #6 + #7.
Simply solder a wire form lug #6 to #7 and the 0.047 uf capacitor from lug #7 to the back of the volume pot.
