What amp did you play through? It's that lovely '80s power ballad tone. You're great.

Roli and Arlo, thanks for listening and the kind words....I'm actually using a Johnson J-Station preamp dialed in on the blues setting.I use this one more than the rest, and put a little more "hair" on it than normal.

    Excellent playing!
    'Bout the 50's conversion...is it a P90 guitar with PAF's installed?

Lostheart, the guitar is a '56 or '57 that was refinished and routed when I acquired it.It was one of the last P-90 goldtops.I've had several sets of pups in it (including a real PAF),but the Wolfetone rewinds sound like a really good set, just very slighty overwound and very open.
Guys, thanks for listening and the nice words.I play Fenders most of the time, but there's nothing like a wound up Lester for that tone!

    Refin,

My buddy Denny Breau (brother of Lenny) uses one of those Johnson pre's he swears by it. He gets a great sound live with it. I have played festivals with him and thats all he brought on stage. Nice tone.
