My number 1 pedal is... because I can't deal with cords. Best 500.00 I ever spent. J00184000000000-00-500x500.jpg

The Analogman Beano. It does everything I want and is the only pedal I've owned in the past 45 years.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet and don't feel like searching. the Rat. Cleans up great with guitar volume ands spits fuzzy distortion if needed.

A ts9 or ts 808 tube screamer, something to goose the front end of the amp.

The mere though of just one pedal or one guitar or one amp probably boggles the minds of most around here and would also be the cause of anxiety attacks and night sweats in many so it's dangerous to even suggest it. It's heresy and good cause to have the OP banned forever. ;)

If the amp has good cleans, I would go for something like a tube screamer or anything that would boost my dirty channel.

If my amp already has good dirty, I would go for a chorus or flanger.

For basic utility I have to go with a Rat. It cleans up nice but gets heavy if you need it too and seems to work with everything with a little knob turning.

The Elements by Dr. Scientist is what I grab whenever I am using an unfamiliar amp. It can be a clean boost, a transparent overdrive or a fire breathing dragon. It gives you a lot of control and I haven't been able to get a bad sound out of it with any amp or guitar. I haven't bought another dirt pedal in two years.

No boutique here: Danelectro_FAB_Echo.jpg Would choose my cheap sh#t Fab Echo. It gives a nice dirty analogue sounding slap back to thicken the sound. Since I know I can turn up my amp to get a little overdrive - I'm good to go!
