I really like this type of style that includes forms of swing such as western swing and bebop, jazz, blues, gypsy, rockabilly etc.

I especially like it when its performed by smaller groups.

I'm familiar with the Nat King Cole Trio, the Joel Paterson trio, the Farr Brothers, Speedy West and Jimmy Bryant, the Hot Club of Cowtown, and of course anything with Django.

Do you guys have anyone else to recommend?

Sugar Ray Norcia and the Bluetones with Monster Mike Welch and Mudcat. (sorry, forgot the drummers name.) Very northeast jump blues meets Chicago sometimes and West Coast much of the time.

Eilen Jewell (but not all of her stuff is swingin', some is straighter singer-songwriter stuff); her guitar player is really awesome...

    Quebe Sisters:

    Pokey LaFarge:

Have you heard of Angelo Debarre? I bought his Live in Paris release then found the concert is also on YouTube:

    There's also John Jorgenson's Gypsy-style swing.

And of course you have the hard bop classics like about anything with Art Blakey, Joe Henderson and Horace Silver (esp. Song for My Father). No guitar, but they all just groove. Here's Art Blakey:

For swinging, hard bop guitar classics there's Wes Montogmery (especially "Smoking at the Half Note" with the Wynton Kelley Trio) and Grant Green. The only problem here is to be stay away from both Montgomery's and Green's forays into more popular music. Montgomery in particular recorded some easy listening that is gut wrenchingly depressing, and is what was selected for some of the "best of" releases.

Good grief, I should really mention Chaise Lounge. The drummer is a close friend and may be the best musician I know:
